1. GST compliance built in

• Correct tax invoice and bill of supply formats, one invoice series per financial year.
• HSN/SAC on items, CGST/SGST vs IGST by place of supply.
• E-invoice and e-way bill if your turnover needs them, and GSTR-1 / GSTR-3B reports your CA can use.

2. Works when the internet does not

3. Stock that matches the shelf

• Stock that reduces on every sale and increases on every purchase, automatically.
• Batch and expiry for pharmacy and food, loose (weight) items, and low-stock alerts.
• Manufacturing / recipes if you make what you sell.

4. Real accounts, not just a sales register

Sales, purchases, expenses and payments should post to proper ledgers so your trial balance and profit & loss are always ready — and can be shared with your accountant or exported to Tally.

5. Staff roles and control

Cashiers should bill, not see your profit. Look for owner, accountant and staff roles, an approval step for big discounts or credit, and an audit log of edits and cancellations.

6. Your industry's details

A restaurant needs tables, KOT and tokens; a pharmacy needs batches and schedule-H registers; a dairy needs milk collection rates. Generic software forces workarounds.

7. Your data stays yours

• Export everything to Excel/CSV at any time.
• Regular backups, and a clear privacy policy that follows the DPDP Act.

8. Price and support

Check the full yearly price for the number of users and branches you need, what happens when the plan ends, and whether you can reach support on phone or WhatsApp in your language.
